The Death Formerly Known As
Blocks where thrown, but most of the game they did little damage. But early in the second half, those that do not fear death, would lose Death, and that surely seemed an omen of things to come. But these are beings of hate and chaos. They have known Death since before time, and they have witnessed the fall before, so one fallen comrade will not stop the wave of destruction these bearers of despair look to bring upon this world.

The hope they contained was helped greatly by great defense in the first half. Stalling out the Undead, leaving them grasping for ground, but often retreating to safety. Going into half knotted at zeros, the harbingers of pain believed they were in control, but that fell away quickly. The sweltering heat only kept one Beastman of the pitch, but that was perhaps their best, Termination. It also apparently affected the coach, who forgot to announce the start of their half. This distraction led to Demise failing to block, that along with a dastardly spell causing Famine to lose the ability to pick up the ball seemed to spell sure doom. Then the death of Death occurred. This seemed to rip the Horseman out of their slumber.

Despite being down men, the acolytes of suffering were able to get the ball downfield, and in a scrum, Demise atoned for this earlier miscue by picking up the ball and dodging away for the score. With only 7 men on the pitch for defense, and 5 turns remaining, things still seemed bleak, but hits that had knocked the generals of disease down earlier just let to pushes, and on turn 8 they knocked the ball loose. The Undead could pull no miracle, and would fall to defeat.

There is no time to savor the victory though. Death will be raised, back to the shell he was, but open to be molded and shaped as the Apocalypse sees fit. The demons of darkness now set their sights on the one seed, the Orcs, the Neonville Nasties. Nasty, just how these wa mongerers like like it.

Stars are Not Born
They are reanimated. And those that seek the end times could not pull out their first match due to said stars. Both those that were brought back from the dead, and those that were undead to begin with would doom the four and their demons.

The game started poorly as Famine lost the ball and it bounced into the open. The Undead surrounded the ball, but some solid hit and stickier fingers allowed the chaotic minions to reclaim the ball. The reanimated corpse of Bob Fruity Pebbles would take two beastmen of the pitch, but eventually the purveyors of doom managed to get down the sideline, and despite a small bobble, Termination caught the ball in the endzone for a TD.

A solid play by After Death fell short, and the score at half was in favor of the denizens of destruction. The Second half would see a long drawn out drive, that led to a TD thanks to some nifty dodges by the dead team. Meaning it was time for overtime. In the extra sessions, twice the harbingers of hate knocked the ball loose, they first time it merely fell to the ground out of their reach, the second it dropped into the hands of Count Luther, the despised star player who took the Undeads money to play in the match. As horsemen raced to get in his way, Termination would trip, and one blitz later the Count would put another L in the column for the Fatal Four.

A rough start to the year, but Demise saw the damage done by their mummies and learned a way to make armor less effective. Hopefully this will help as they go to face yet another undead team. The season did not start as desired, but this team will not quit until all that live on the earth burn in agony for eternity.

A bountiful new year
Optimism spring from this team that plans to bring pessimism to all they face. The bringers of pain met with an unnamed former player recently, and sources say they left the meeting laughing maniacally, but also with a little less in the coffers.

The followers of the Apocalypse let it be known that a great way to create the bloodshed and chaos they desired was to put a bounty on a returning player. So, the horsemen obliged to the tune of $150,000. That player is Chuck Liddell, and although they would not say who convinced them to offer up such a sum, the haters of all that brings joy said parties should Crush him to any Cadence they like to earn the money.

So the accolytes of destruction hope to cause mayhem by inducing other teams to gun for each others best players. May their plan work and may the world be burned under their righteous crusade.

An Ulgar Surprise
Those who bring the nightmares were surprised with an inclusion into the Not In The Face! bowl for the second straight season. After was the demons of the undead deemed a successful season, this was somewhat of a shock, but they knew they had a mission. The dread bringers could not fall in the game having won the season before, and had extra motivation as they played the Ulgar Ironmen, who they had lost to last season.

The game got off to a good start, as Death quickly removed a Dwarf from the game, and the slayers of all that is good caged up and started advancing down the pitch. They were able to hold off until turn seven to score, leaving the dwarves little time to retaliate in the first half.

Up one, early in the second half the the harbingers of the dark made an error and instead of trying to get the ball and fling it deep into Ulgar territory, they they just blitzed a dwarf off the ball. This allowed Ulgar to regroup and reclaim possession still near midfield. Thankfully, those that are chaos kept the field mucked up. Slowly the beastmen were removed from the pitch, but as Ulgar moved downfield they couldn't properly cage. The ball was knocked loose and Ulgar had trouble gaining control. This allowed Famine to pick up the ball and throw it down field to Termination who caught it in a tackle zone and blitzed his way free. It would have been less stressful to have done this the first time, but those damn dwarves are very good a tackling, so after getting the ball he was tripped on the first attempt.

This means the pain bringers would take home their second straight win in the Not In The Face! bowl, and also secure a winning record for the campaign. Now on to the greatness that has long bee foretold, and bigger and better things in season 21.

An Ogre Step Forward
After being awarded a one seed this year, a lot of pressure was put on the announcers of the apocalypse, especially for a team that only won twice the previous year. And after a rough start, including a loss to Mediogre (their only previous victories), this year looked like the oncoming darkness would never truly arrive. But spurred on by the opposing Chaos squad not showing up to honor the dark lords, a fire was lit, and those that shall decry all that is good and just brought forth greater intensity to finish out the season.

The finish that, they once again conquered the Ogres, and ended up at five and five in the league. It was not easy, but after scoring in the second half to get it to overtime, the star Ogre tripped and lost the ball, which allowed Sickness to pick up the ball and eventually get into the end zone.

Termination finally had a a game befitting his stats, scoring a TD and injuring three snotlings, Despite the great finale, it was Famine that earned player of the year honors. Despite his armor being dented, he built on his agility increase of last year and after learning better blocking skills, became a solid ball handler.

If there was a true negative to the year it was the followers of War, who lost two beastmen at the end of the year. Skirmish and Battle will not be able to see the dawning of the end of world, but their memories will be help up as everyone else burns for all eternity.

There will be no playoffs this year, but the acolytes of destruction, the revelers of mayhem, the harbingers of chaos will return, hoping to build on the carnage and momentum they gained at the end of their second year of existence.

Wrestling with Success
The bringers of doom have found a groove, having won 4 of their last 6 matches, they find themselves in the playoff hunt. Those that hurt their foes didn't do it through injuries this game, but did leave enough humans stunned and knocked out to make a tangible difference. The humans did some damage as well, but could never out number the horseman to get enough of an advantage.

As has been the trend, the harbingers of anguish were able to score an 8 turn TD to start the game, take a one TD lead into the second half. The Hawks would score after some nice evasiveness and Termination then unable to bring down the ball carrier. A last ditch effort lead to a failed dodge and going into OT.

The doomsayers got the ball, caged up, and were eventually able to reverse field on Stirland, finding the endzone for the win. The gods deemed this win not enough to grant another ability to the acolytes, wanting them to truly prove they belong. So they go after the Ogres one more time, seeing if they can gain the God's favor and possibly earn at least one more game this year.

One or the Other
The minions of darkness took the field being asked to choose Death or Chess, which ironically fits into the nature of blood bowl quite well. And while the harbingers of pain could not bring death to the Underworld, they played a good positional game and walked away with their third win of the season.

Starting with the ball, the bearers of doom failed to complete a few passes, but did so out of reach of the ratty goblins, and eventually successfully caged up and moved down the field. The slow meticulous drive ended with Famine finding the end zone. The creatures of suffering also managed to break out the hitting sticks for the first time all year and ended up causing 5 injuries in the match, which would benefit them in the second half.

The gobliny rats got the ball to start half two, but eventually had a disastrous turn, which allowed the ball to be knocked loose. From there a scrum took place, bogging down all the action. The pawns of Death or Chess eventually got away, but could not shield the ball carrier from being hit, and with the ball on the ground, the haters of the living surrounded it to prevent the opposing score. In fact, Famine would pick the ball up and complete a pass to Termination who would find the end zone on turn 8 to lead to a 2-0 victory.

A great as the win was, the Gods did not grant any new abilities to these acolytes. So all they will take with them in their rematch against the human wrestlers is the confidence they gained on the pitch. They know it will take 2 wins to have a chance at the playoffs, now can the lovers of evil do what it takes to get there.

The Venom Sinks In
The bringers of doom should shortly change their name to the hitters with pillows, or the throwers of feathers, because, as has been a recurring theme, these bringers of night, could not bring the pain, and that definitely helped lead to their doom.

The Horseman started with the ball and with the sunny sky overhead, went to the hand off game early. The Lizards started removing players early, fouling a beastman in a way that will make him less agile going forward. With that said, the harbingers of pain where able to move around and start getting the ball downfield when a nefarious wizard shot a lightning bolt from the skies and knocked down Famine. However, the skink could not pick up the ball, and Famine should recover and advance. With only one player for protection, he would find himself surrounded, and the eventual dodge to break free failed. The discoverers of darkness would have one more shot when another skink failed to grab the ball, but were unable to find the endzone.

With many people removed, the furious four would find only 6 on the pitch to start half two, and that would lead to two quick score against them. With the game lost, they got the ball one last time, and thanks to Acolyte having spent most of his first game on the pitch, the opposing coach was so shocked he was on the field, the team did not cover him. This allowed Famine to complete a pass to Acolyte, who scored on turn 8 to make it more respectable.

Acolytes score was looked upon favorably, and he learned the ability to block better, which should keep him on the pitch a bit more. Unfortunately, 3 other acolytes will not be playing in the next game against the Underworld. The deceivers of truth will hope to enact revenge against those that choose Death or Chess after losing to them last year.

Lost in the Woods
Coming off of two victories, the slayers of the living had momentum and confidence on their side as they look to take on They Who, a confused sounding Wood Elf team.

The harbingers of mayhem started strongly, grabbing the ball, caging up and prepping for the eventual leap in by those who call themselves Wardancers. It was a slow move down the pitch, as the team of chaos pushed, moved, and occasionally dodged their way towards the end zone. After They Who overloaded one side, the Horseman were able to shield off and leave a solid opening to score. But with three turns and wood elves as the opponent, the riders of night buckled down in hopes to hold out before scoring. On turn 7 They Who leaped into the cage as was able to knock the ball loose, but were unable to pick it up. The Horsemen stunned that Wardancer, and caged up again to withhold one more onslaught before half. The other Wardancer fell before he could ever leap, and Famine went in for the score.

Despite getting one casualty in the first half, the second half would lead to an all to familiar situation for they who should be punishing teams a lot more. Instead it was They Who had less armor knocking beastmen off the pitch, leaving the the denizens of darkness out manned. Still, the fearsome four and their followers were able to pin They Who to the sidelines, but it took all their men to do so. Then the elves elfed and were suddenly in the clear. A desperate attack fell short, and They Who scored a touchdown to tie it.

A desperation heave never occurred to end the half, and They Who would receive and march down the field and score in overtime to hand the believers of doom another loss. Still, the Horseman played well, and hope to carry some momentum into their rematch against the lizards of Venom Valley.

Famine was also rewarded for his solid play, gaining better ability to block, which will also make him much more difficult to take down in the future. The Horseman must regroup quickly or watch a second season drift away into the nothingness they hope will eventually consume the entire world.

The Grapple in the Gorge
The Hawks from Stirland brought their 3-1 record into a battle with those that bring despair, and the Hawks would leave feeling that way after the doomsayers walked away with a 2-1 victory.

The harbingers of pain started with the ball and got immediate help from the Gods as a rock was hurled and took out one of the Hawks catchers for the game. That would be the only injury against the Humans, as those steeped in darkness continue to struggle with removing opponents from the pitch. Despite that, they Warrior Famine eventually got the ball and used his agility and dodging to stay clear of the humans, while the rest of the acolytes kept him shielded from any hits. The humans sent a crazy blitz late in the half, but they were only able to push the warrior, who would be freed up and score the next turn.

Leaving two turns, the humans knew they had enough time to score, but the Gods again looked favorably on the Chaos and the skies opened up and rain fell hard to the ground, stopping the humans attempt. They would not fair better to start the second half. An inaccurate pass would eventually be picked up by those who bear ill will. They attempted their own risky pass which also was inaccurate and left the ball sitting right next to Termination deep in enemy territory. The Hawks were a ways a way and could only get people around the ball however, which would allow the follower of Death to blitz one man off and manage to pick up the ball in the sloppy conditions then dodge away for the Horseman's second score.

The Humans would score quickly to bring them within on, and a wizard in hand meant they still had a chance. The dreamers of the apocalypse caged up, but could not keep the ball after a wizard and blitz, but the Hawks chance to pass it free fell to the ground. Beastmen and Warriors tried to surround the ball, and the last ditch effort from the humans failed, allowing the minions of darkness to pick up their second straight win.

Demise was graced with a skill after the game, allowing him to block better, which will make his already gained agility a better asset. The Horseman now prepare for the Wood Elves of They Who. They hope to end that statement with the words, Cry in Despair after Losing.

True Chaos
In what was set to be an tremendous battle for the pleasure of the Gods of Chaos, ended up being an empty stadium, and a shallow victory.

These warriors of the apocalypse can not afford to demean any win, but they surely would have rather fought hard on the pitch and lost, than take victory in this manner. Alas, so times these ways can not be avoided. So the bringers of doom hope to have a chance down the road to play those Mighty Misters, to truly find who is the favorite of the demon Gods.

Those Gods did look favorably upon the harbingers of mayhem, as Sickness took the extra practice time to perfect his blocking, while Pestilence looked upon his quick brethren to improve his ability to dodge. This is truly not the team they anticipated being, but they are skilled and dangerous, if they can just figure out how to best use these vast skills.

To that end the Horsemen will welcome a visit from Humans from Stirland, hoping to quench their desire for blood and victory once again.

Slimy Lizards
In some ways the bringers of doom played well, but their inability to take Venom Valley players off the pitch would be their undoing.

The chaos found themselves in an unusual situation as they were out strengthened, and that led to them being outnumbered, which eventually led to their loss. Those that pray to the Gods of pain started on defense, and saw one of their players go of the pitch the very first turn. The Cold Bloods were able to cage up and advance down the field, slowly advancing. When they decided to stall, the fear mongers used their agility to get a shot on the ball and knock it loose. However, they could not get control, and the Lizards picked up the ball and scored.

To start the second half, down men, those who wait for the apocalypse could not afford to get into a bash matchup, and were able to advance quickly and score in just three turns. This did mean the defense had to hold. Again, down many men, these warriors and beastmen fought valiantly, eventually getting a shot on the ball, but they could not knock the carrier down. and a lightning bolt from the sky would lead to VC's winning TD.

The Gods did not look kindly on this loss, and for the first time refused to grant additional skills to the bringers of chaos. They will at least be whole for their next matchup. Will round 3 against the Ogres bring their 3rd win, or will they slow rise to the top continue to stall in the mud.

Just Nasty
The ascent was not supposed to be this quick, and that very well may have thrown these bringers of doom into chaos for their first week game against the Nasty Memes. Anointed a one seed based on team value, this is a team still searching for the consistency to play as a one seed, and the champions of chaos struggled against the mighty returning memes for just that reason.

The first kick to the Horseman was up against the sideline, and Scarcity was unable to pick it up, and the ball tumbled out of bounds. The throw in for the crowd was bad for the harbingers of pain, and although they were eventually able to coral the ball, positioning was wrecked, and the speed of the Memes would prove fatal, as they would pick it up and score.

That would be the story of the game. The Nasty ones were able to remove enough Apocalypse beastmen and warriors, although thankfully do no real harm, to nullify the agility and strength boosts. And the riders of mayhem continued to struggle with the basics of blocking. They struggled so much so that when Death was named the MVP, even though he had prepared and studied the quick jumping up ability of the Necro, he shrugged it off to take the solid blocking they showed so well instead. War also learned from his acolytes and added the wrestle ability to his skill set.

So a rough first game, but with some squishy lizards coming up next, the new found ability to block and not lose their turn could be beneficial. The slow rise continues, but do not take this one loss as a sign of things to come, the Memes will destroy many a team, so we hope the lessons learned will propel the followers of blackness forward to victory.

In the Face
They may say it is Not in the Face, but these bringers of Chaos care not for the rules of the masses, and took it to those Mediogres for a second time claiming a trophy in their first year back from their exile.

In an ominous start, the Ogres where adept and hitting early, even killing a beastman. However, the Horseman hired a solid Apothecary, who allowed Disease to get back on the field after he was done. The Ogres started to lose some snotlings as well, either to being caught fouling, or sent to the knock out box. They also started showing some bone headed tendencies, and the fearsome four were able to eventually get a shot on the ball carrier and knock the ball loose. They would pick it and advance down field, but the lack of block would prevent protection from coming to Combat, and a surprisingly quick Ogre managed to catch up and knock him down a turn before he could score. So it would go into half knotted at zeros.

The doom bringers would start strong in half two aided by the Ogres inability to break tackles on dodge attempts. Termination would eventually be handed the ball in the end zone, and the men of the Apocalypse would take the lead. The Ogres continued have ball handling issues on their next turn, which would eventually lead to a second score by the Horseman, this time with a nice dodge by War, putting the final tally at 2-0.

The gods of destruction continued to look favorably on the team as well, and Termination increased his ability to block, which will help nicely with his increased strength and agility. Speaking of agility, Famine's dodging capabilities manifested even more, gaining the ability to do so at more successful rate. So the season was not a success in terms of win/loss, but the harbingers of pain, the destroyers of nation have gained skills and powers that will make them a difficult matchup going forward. They will need to work on the basics, but they have the capability to bring misery to any team they face, and alas, that is what they came back to do.

Inspired In a Loss
The sugary sweetness again struck the bearers of blackness, as they were unable to overcome the Cola Machine to finish out their regular season. The score was improved from their first game, and could have been closer had the Beastman Termination not tripped up trying to dodge away from the elves in the first half. The Machine also managed to dodge their way to a one turn score, partially thanks to getting a quick jump on the snap on the last turn of the game.

The beings of chaos did manage to score themselves, able to reverse the ball on the elves and get a half cage set, Termination was in decent shape to find the end zone. However an elf catcher blitzed him anyway, and was able to knock him down despite the odds. But the odds can be chaotic both ways, as Sickness managed to grab the bouncing ball, despite the pouring rain, and dodge away the next turn for score.

Demise, who also completed a pass in the game, learned from the elves, and will take some new found agility into the coming season. The basics have been tough to come by for these bearers of darkness, but they have gained attributes to warrant their eventual rise left and right.

And despite their rough first season back, they will play one more game to hone their skills for their eventual rise to the top. Whatever team is deemed worthy to play these harbingers of doom, will surely feel the wrath of the Apocalypse.

The Sour Taste of Lolipops
The fearsome four took to the pitch again, coming off the high of Victory, could they take the momentum and get revenge over the sugary Dark Elves, or would it be a repeat of the domination they suffered during the last match up?

It was a beautiful day on the pitch, but the darkness in the hearts of the Horsemen would lead them through a tough game. The offense of the Four has been greatly improved with Termination's new escapability. He would complete a few passes during the game, and manage to score a TD as well, garnering much praise from his teammates. Alas, the problem became in removing Elves from the pitch, as those who shall usher in the Apocalypse never could gain a man advantage.

Finding themselves down one score, the bringers of doom where able to move slightly down field, but needed a risky play to be able to break into the open, and had been the case all game, they were unable to keep their feet while dodging away. The ball would be knocked loose, and that would be the end of the scoring for the day.

But the improvement from just 4 weeks ago was very evident, as these warriors kept the game close. The dark Gods looked down kindly upon the acolyte of Famine, granting the beastman Starvation a better ability at blocking. We hope he will use this ability wisely in the coming game against the Machine of Cola, as they again try to bring terror to a team that had it's way with the Horsemen the first time around.

The First
It was truly a day for Termination, as not only did he spur the bringers of doom to their first victory, of which they believe will be just one of many more to come, but he also followed the lead of his leader, War, and watching the Mighty Ogres on the pitch, and would increase his strength for future games.

The game started on a good and bad note. Battle was able to loosen the ball, but a snotling grabbed the ball and was soon flung forward, landing and finding his way to the End Zone.

On the rebound, the Horseman were able to get the ball up the field to Famine, who took a brigade down the pitch. A solid blitz from the Ogres was unable to get him to the ground, and after a nice block by Disease, Famine would walk into the endzone.

To start the second half, the Ogre would successfully knock the ball free from Terminations hand. But they were unable to pick up the ball, and after a turn or two, enough of a lane was created for Termination to pick up the ball and get it down field to Disease. At this point, the Ogres started getting confused, and after getting a hand off, Termination would score with a few turns left.

The Ogres last chance to score saw a Goblin fumbled on a pass attempt, and then the bringers of doom, brought a wizard to knocked down 4 of 5 Ogres with a fireball, and they were unable to recover enough to score again.

So the Horseman are on the board. They will face two very tough games against both Dark and Pro elves in the coming weeks. They will try and take the lessons learned from the past few weeks, and bring the pain to those Elven warriors.

On a Bright Sunny Day
The lords of the Underworld seemed bothered by the bright sun that shown down on the pitch early on, but when they got their bearings, these bringers of doom, almost sunk the Neckbreakas spirits with a comeback for the ages.

As has been the Horseman's luck on offense, throughout most of the first half they managed to maintain possession, but never really threaten to score. More disappointing was this happened even with an extra man advantage to start the half. As things got mired down, the ball eventually fell into the hands of the men from Nuln, who benefited from the FHOTA coach forgetting to announce the start of their turn, and were able to grab a hand-off on turn 8 to find the end zone. During the half, multiple acolytes found themselves knocked off the pitch or hurt, making many feel it would be another long day for the bearers of Doom.

Thankfully, all those with bruises were back on the pitch to start the second half, and although they could not prevent a score, they forced it to come early. The Horsemen would receive the next kick-off and actually manage to break a man free down the sideline, even completing a quick pass into the glaring sun. When the Nuln blitzer tripped trying to get away to hit the beastman Combat, he went in for the Harbingers second touchdown of the year.

On the ensuing kickoff, the the Horseman blitzed into the Nuln half of the pitch, and were able to muck everything up. Eventually their ball carrier tried to knock Combat away and scamper into the open field, but Combat brilliantly wrestled him down. After a short skirmish, the ball ended up in War's hands, and he would find the endzone to tie it up on the last turn of the second half.

In overtime Nuln would receive the kickoff, but as had happened on all other kickoffs, the Horseman got the jump and again blitzed into their backfield. The fierceness that these doom bringers once had, was beginning to show itself again. They were unable to secure the ball, and Nuln slowly worked it down the pitch. Dorin Deadeye would end up the ball but when he stretched to get the ball across the goal line, he would trip, fall and sever his spinal cord, dying on the spot. Termination was able to pick up the ball and attempt a throw, which he fumbled in the bright sun, which would finally get it's revenge on the demons of night. From there Nuln would pick up the ball and score, ending a game for the ages.

Disease, who had completed the earlier pass was named MVP in his first game, and carefully watched the Human blitzers, learning better blocking techniques. Can the momentum gained here, propel the Chaos against a thoroughly Mediogre team next? Only time will tell.

The Advent of Dwelves
The Horseman geared up to face Dwarves this week, but were left in shock as the supposed Dwarf team came out throwing as if they were Elves. This stunned the proud chaos team, and is being blamed for the loss by their coaches.

At the end of the game, the powers that be again looked favorably on these combatants, as for a second week in a row, a Warrior increased his speed, allowing him to track down opponents who think they are far enough away. Even better, Beastman Termination worked diligently on his agility, and is now better and dodging and playing the ball. This could help him get in hits to people who do not expect it.

That said, what is hurting these bringers of doom, and leading to their own doom on the scoreboard, right now are the basics. Against some teams, the possibility of both the hitter and hittee going down is not so bad, but those damn Dwelves laugh at the proposition, so the inability of the Four and their followers to just stay standing proved to much to overcome.

So the benefit of the increased abilities are being drowned by the lack of the basic skills. But the Four will not look down upon the speed, strength and agility they have been blessed with. They will persevere, knowing it will all be right in then end. And when the basics are mastered, those extra physical traits will be worth it.

Darkness of the Soul
Although Lollipop is in the name, the darkness definitely permeates through that team, and they took out frustrations on a still recovering Horsemen.

The Horseman started with the ball, when Death managed to snag the kickoff. The team started to slowly move the ball down field. A pleasant surprise also occurred when Famine was gifted a book before the game. He read it to learn it's mysteries, and although it sometimes caused his mind to wander, he also gained the ability to halt people with his gaze, and nimbly step around the field. Alas, this would not come into much use, and when he went for it to try and use the Gaze, he fell. So even though Death is strong, he was unable to hold onto the ball.

From there, the Horseman chased, and tried, but could not keep up with the nimble elves, eventually falling 3-0. But again, their keen observation would benefit their eventual rise to greatness. Pestilence increased his speed, now able to get across more of the field, spreading his rot and disease. Yet another step to the inevitable, Apocalypse reigning on all those who live.

Not the Kings of the Underworld
When all is fallen, when all in this realm is afire, when hell has truly come to these lands, then the Horsemen will reign as kings. But as long as hell stays in the underworld, the Horsemen can only contemplate what might have been.

The game was one of potential, and opportunities wasted. It was also the first time the Horsemen and legions could not find a way to consistently bring torment upon their opponents, as they too often appeared too weak to knock them down or break their armor. So despite some good coaching for long stretches of the first half, Death toyed with Warriors of the Damned, and stayed standing. It only took one overplay for Chess to say checkmate, and find their way to a score.

The fact that they knocked multiple acolytes off the pitch while doing so, and then continued to out bash the Horsemen in the second half, made it tough to get solid field position. However, a solid pass from termination to Pestilence, would lead to the first TD of the year for the returning Warriors.

That left time for Death or Chess to score still, and although it looked again like they might be bottled up, the journeyman hired (that did not get injured) put himself in poor positioning, which allowed a chain push, which allowed the Chess portion of the team to score on turn 8, turning back the Four once again. That journeyman survived the game, but will not look forward to the pain he will endure from Famine for his mistake.

Good new did come still as Combat managed another casualty, and with more training has gained the ability to wrestle others down. Even in defeat, the followers grow stronger. They must now bear down, as the elves who follow the dark will come to play. Will they submit to the masters of the nothingness to come? Only time will tell.

Introduction to Elves
The fearsome four spent to much time as only three, and the elves both did the passing and the bashing, leaving the Horsemen to lick their wounds one more time.

After spending much of the first half caging up and slowly advancing, chaos found itself outnumbered greatly by those carbonated elves. With all seemingly lost, a decent game plan was enacted, one that was foiled by the earth, as the sure feet of Combat, could not escape the hands of the elves as he tried to dodge away.

The elves would score, and score again, and one late attempt to break a warrior away for a score just proved you do not try to outrun elves in this manner. That said, if the elves had been their normal proficiency of hitting, the game plan may have worked more in our favor.

Some good did come of this dodgy elf ball, as Warrior Famine studied the moves of the Bebop and walked away able to dodge away from teams more easily. The skills are slowly rounding into shape, and as those build, the Horseman grow stronger. They now get to face a team with Death in their name. This feels like a slap in the face to these bringers of doom, will this be the motivation they need to finally put TDs and a victory on the scoreboard? The storm is coming, it is only a matter of when it unleashes its full fury.

Puny Humans
The humans from Nuln believe they walked away with a victory, but their win is little in the grand plan of the fearsome four. Despite the rust from the long break, the horseman and their followers continue their destructive ways, taking three humans off the pitch. They looked kindly on those humans as none was written into the books of those deceased.

Those injuries allowed the skills of the trusty Beastman followers of War to increase. One became adept at wrestling his opponents to the ground while the other became more nimble, allowing him to traverse greater distances.

But as with gain, there sometimes must be sacrifice. Contagion only sought to infect all those who came in contact with him, now may his body help rot the earth it has been buried in. He will not be the last to give his life for the cause of the apocalypse. May his death be worth the coming armageddon.

The Unearthing
In times of yore, much was made of the famous four. Those that rode on steeds of power, unleashing their armies and plagues on the world. But that is history, and those that rode were lost to the seasons may years ago.

But yet, with every passing year, as Chaos reigned, they heard the calling, the call to rise from the ashes, not as a phoenix, but as corruption. Not a a light, but as engulfing darkness. Realizing their time was near, the Horseman have once again risen to claim what is rightfully theirs.

Yet nothing comes easy. To have not been for so long, they do not come back as the terrors of the past, but as shells waiting to regain their powers. Those that have worshiped them and have faith, will see them rise, even during the rough times. Their first return hit a rocky road, but even in that defeat, you could see glimmers of the future.

Death caused the first casualty, of hopefully many to come, and with that would regain some of his strength, making him an even more menacing threat. Even in defeat, the Apocalypse gets closer, and those Horseman ride harder, knowing they will one day claim what is rightfully theirs, the world itself.
